Application
DAO optical fiber cable is designed for cabining in special protective plastic pipes in case of increased requirements for protection against water penetration. Also suitable for laying in the sewers, tunnels, inside buildings.
Cable design
- Central strength member – GRP rod.
- Optical fibers of different colors.
- Filler (if necessary).
- Polymer tube filled by hydrophobic compound.
- Waterblocking tape.
- Aluminum tape with polymer coating.
- Outer PE sheath.
Inner space filled by hydrophobic compound or waterblocking yarn.
DAO cable has 6 or more stranding elements.

- Outer PE sheath insulation resistance (circuit “aluminium tape – land (water)”) – 4000 MOm*km;
- Cable length on a drum – up to 12 km.
Diameter, weight and bending radius are reference values.
At the demand of the customer, for cables used in buildings, ducts, conduits and tunnels, outer sheath may be made of flame retardant polymer composition not containing halogen (LSZH).
