Application
OPK optical fiber cable is designed for suspension between buildings,on supports (towers) of communication lines, for cabining through tunnels, underground, inside buildings, as temporarycable inserts.
Cable design
- Optical fibers of different colors.
- Polymer tube filled with hydrophobic compound.
- Attached straight member – rope, made from galvanized steel wires with tensile strength no less than 1670 MPa.
- Outer PE sheath.
Cable size and weight parameters in dependence of fiber count and tensile load are listed in the table.
Cable type / Tensile load |
Fiber count, up to | Estimated cable weight, kg/km | Cable size, mm
sheath diameter by attached strength element | Maximum cable diameter
OPK / 5,5 kN | 12 | 55 | 4,0 | 8,4 |
OPK / 7,5 kN | 24 | 65 | 4,2 | 8,6 |
OPK / 9,5 kN | 24 | 90 | 4,8 | 10,0 |
OPK / 9,5 kN | 32 | 95 | 5,1 | 10,5 |
